Why opting Bank Loan Moratorium is not beneficial? - "Three-month moratorium" on Loan EMI payments is going to be a burden in the future

If you are having any loan and enjoying the Reserve Bank of India announced a "three-month moratorium" on loan repayment EMIs due to coronavirus, then get ready to pay more. You may be delaying the EMIs but Banks and other Financial Institutions are adding interest to your account. The idea of Government is that the people of the country should keep some funds  ( liquid cash ) in their accounts for any unseen happening in the future.

The idea for providing 3 months moratorium to all Loans is good but this facility should be used only in case of emergency otherwise it is requested not to utilise this facility.

Please see the picture below which would help you to understand how the delay in payments would add EMIs in future.

The above-given picture says a loan of 240 EMIs would become 258 EMIs as the interest in accumulating.  It is better to clear the EMIs on time instead of using the Government of India's three-month moratorium.
